PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This training is designed to meet the Hazard Communication rule requirements for training employees who may be exposed to hazardous chemicals at their jobs. Contents of the training are based on OSHA requirements.

On Site Training:

  • Conforms to Federal OSHA requirements
  • Customized for individual state OSHA requirements

Sessions:

  • Interactive
  • Include site-specific information as required by rule
  • Present MSDSs relevant to trainees
  • Last approximately 3 hours
  • Presented by two trainers
  • Attended by as many as 20 participants per session

Objectives:

After completion of this training, trainees will:

  • Know about the Hazard Communication rule and its implementation in their work areas, including all elements that the rule requires.
  • Be able to read and apply information from container labels and MSDSs.
  • Be able to prevent exposure to hazardous chemicals by a variety of protective measures, including selection of appropriate PPE, detection of releases, and participation in emergency procedures.
  • Be more safety conscious in the use of chemicals.
  • Have a realistic view of the chemicals in the work area.
 

Costs:

Initial Session includes compilation of site-specific information, selection of relevant MSDSs, masters for trainee handouts, and 3-hour training session. The following prices are for local area trainings only. For non-local and out-of-state training, please contact us for the most cost efficient fee schedule specifically designed for your company and area.

  • $730.00 for up to 20 participants

If multiple sessions are required, the cost for subsequent trainings is $600 for up to 20 participants.

Prerequisites:

Prior to the initiation of training, there must be an adequate written Hazard Communication Plan in place. Services designed to develop, assess, or improve current compliance can be provided upon request and will involve additional fees.
